Dadasaheb ni deri Golden Temple project and renovation of Dada ni deri complex:

JRD and his wife Shilpa had gone to Rajasthan for a short vacation. During this visit, they visited Falna city where there was a Parswanath prabhu jain temple coloured with real golden colour. The golden colour was prepared by using real gold dust.

JRD was fascinated by the golden jain temple. He took many photographs and talked to the trustees how did they completed this marvelous work.

Time passed but the memory of the golden temple stayed firmly in the mind of JRD.

JRD and Shilpa again visited Rajasthan to finalise the pratimas for Mahavirswami Jain Temple being rebuilt at Mandvi Kutch.

After finalising the pratimas at Jaipur, they went to Ajmer city. A famous temple of Dada ni Deri is situated at Ajmer. JRD and Shilpa went for darshan to Dadasaheb ni Deri.

Dadasaheb gave inspiration to JRD to renovate Mandvi’s Dada ni deri temple

and make it as Golden as Falna golden temple.

JRD came out of temple and immediately called Rajubhai I Shah, President of Khartargatchh Jain Sangh who managed Dada ni Deri and conveyed the Hukum(order) he received from Dadasaheb. Rajubhai who was always eager to do shashan seva, instantly agreed to the suggestion. Rajubhai informed that during JRD’s next visit, they will finalise the whole project.

During JRD’s next visit after a month, the board of trustees decided to renovate the whole campus of Dada ni deri and also make Dadasaheb ni Deri a golden temple. The responsibility of collecting donations and completing the work was given to Rajubhai, Harnishbhai and JRD Shah.

Rajubhai and JRD announced their donations instantly and the flow of donations started pouring in. JRD Shah inspired donors settled all over India and abroad by preparing brochures and by contacting them on phone and in person and Pradeepbhai Shah(USA), Jiteshbhai P Shah, Kailash Ravilal Shah , Dr Girishbhai Dave , Vardhamanbhai Shah, Ranjanben Vasa and many other joined in as Donors for the jirnoddhar work.

The renovation of Dada ni deri campus started in 2010 and renovation work including golden temple work was completed in 2013.

The golden temple of Dadasaheb ni Deri is first of its kind in entire Gujarat.

The renovation work included renovating the artistic boundary wall, the entrance gates, building the new kesar room,changing of marble flooring of Dadasaheb ni Deri and providing essential facilities to the jain yatris who come for darshan and puja at the temple .

The completion of jirnoddhar work of Dada ni deri complex was celebrated by a function held at Dada ni deri . All donors including JRD Shah were felicitated at the function. A special felicitation of JRD Shah was done for his continuous efforts in completing the project.
